Storage Conditions for Quilted and Embroidered Fabrics

May 13, 2026 Leave a message

The storage of quilted and embroidered fabrics requires adherence to the following key conditions:

Temperature Requirements: The optimal storage temperature is between 15°C and 25°C; for standard warehouses, keeping the temperature at or below 20°C is preferable. This prevents fiber aging and deformation caused by high heat and avoids damage to the fabric structure resulting from sudden temperature fluctuations.

Humidity Requirements: Relative humidity should be stably maintained between 45% and 65% (a range of 50%–60% is recommended for long-term storage). Humidity levels above 65% promote mold growth, while levels below 40% may cause certain fibers to become brittle.

Other Key Points: Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fabric discoloration and embrittlement; store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from water sources and open flames; avoid heavy pressure when stacking or folding; and ensure that anti-moth or anti-mold agents are wrapped in paper so they do not come into direct contact with the fabric.
